Professional Engagement

The CALBO Professional Engagement Committee works to enhance resources and professional development for California Building Department staff in addition to providing opportunities for growth within the Building Safety Industry.  The Committee actively works with CALBO members, the CALBO Board of Directors, and affiliated organizations. The work of the Committee is conducted via teleconference. 

Committee Goals:

1. Collaborate with community colleges to host a virtual job fair once a year to reach out to the next generation of building officials and department staff.

2. Assist CALBO staff with social media material to highlight CALBO members, building departments, and building safety.

3. Create handouts and resources that highlight career paths in building safety.
