About CTI

Dear Fellow Building Department Colleague:

Welcome to the CALBO Training Institute (CTI) website. As the educational arm of California Building Officials, we have held over 400 courses and trained over 10,000 individuals last year alone. Our purpose of holding such an extensive training program in 2007 was to prepare California for the new Building Codes which became in effect on January 1, 2008.

This year, while we do not expect to hit those milestones, we do expect to continue being your resource for quality education on California building requirements. Our objective is to provide education for our local code officials, architects, engineers and all other building trades. Our instructors are experts in the field of Code Enforcement, Building Construction and Design and love to share their knowledge.

We offer credential programs and certification programs specific to California and believe you should turn here first for all your educational requirements.
