| Description | This full-day course examines critical concepts of the building provisions located in the 2010 CRC. It provides a basis for the correct use and application of the code and builds on an understanding of the intent of the code through practice with real-world examples. This course will also explore the California specific amendments of the CRC and will highlight the needed information every building department in California will need to know to begin enforcing the CRC. Upon completion, participants will be better able to: 1. Explain the intent behind the building provisions requirements. 2. Locate general topics and applicable tables. 3. Define terms essential for correct code interpretation. 4. Identify the code that relates to specific building provisions. This course is applicable for all building inspectors, plans examiners, building officials, fire officials, designers and contractors. |
